![]() Trapunta, has made her way safely to her home in Oxnard, California! She is a representational piece, a lady sitting quietly, looking down at her handy quilted work. She was sitting quietly in this green soapstone. This sculpture created as a tribute to a wonderful women who has stitched her love into many quilts for her family and friends. Trapunta is carved from a green soapstone. Metaphysically, the color ‘green’ is the color for the ‘heart’ , the heart is the center of love. Initially she was named the “Quilter” but I thought we needed a name befitting fine art, so I decided to translate our word to Italian. “Trapunta” was perfect. Mrs. Wilson, the owner of this graceful lady, is quite happy!!!

A nice event this evening at the mansion! It's always uplifting to be among the other artist the energy is awesome. The art is always inspiring, and the conversation in this business of art is always informative . Applause for Elroy Williams whose painting, The Distraction,is reminiscent of the artistic style of William O.Tanner. And to Marty congrats! Great to connect with Barbara Meima, her sculpture "Pierced Green Form" was a great abstract peice. And as always Ann's alabaster "Joy" is true to her fluid form!! Great Show!!!!
