New Sculpture " The Guardian"

"The Guardian"
Presented on August 6, 2017 in Charleston, South Carolina at the Green- Myers Family Reunion.    Dedicated to the collective families, this abstract sculpture represents and celebrates the families' ancestors and " guardian spirits." 

The natural markings in the stone speaks to the African linage.  The rock  reminds us of the strength of ancestors.  And the overall peaceful expression speaks of the calming spirit of our people.
