I have to stop and give thanks for the events planned and unplanned that were very much apart of my personal and artistic journey in 2013.
As I look back on my accomplishments for this year I realized I am now eight months into eating and living a more holistic lifestyle. Eating whole foods, drinking more water, reducing the amount of preservatives and processed foods in my diet. The trip to Las Terranes engulf me with the beauty and artistry of the land. Vibrant art was everywhere, on the street, in the marketplace and in the road side shops. I was awestruck by the majesty and creativity of the ocean the beaches and the mountainside. I have to give praise to God, the "Creator of All."
The College of the Building Arts showcased the creation of a mandala, including the ceremonial prayer and chanting to bless the process of creating a mandala. before drawing a line. The monks then completed an intracately designed mandala in 7 days. Wow!!
