I have to stop and give thanks for the events planned and unplanned that were very much apart of my personal and artistic journey in 2013.
As I look back on my accomplishments for this year I realized I am now eight months into eating and living a more holistic lifestyle. Eating whole foods, drinking more water, reducing the amount of preservatives and processed foods in my diet. The Spoletto Arts Festival held annually in Charleston, South Carolina was a week of music, art, theatre, music, dancing and food. My most memorable experience was spending an afternoon with an artist I have admired for years, Jonathan Green. We talked about art ,low country history, the possibly of my sculptures coming to show in Charleston and his new series of paintings. He talked about his " Rice Project" and the impact that he hoped it would have in the low country community.
